Computer Forensics

Computer Forensics is the collection, preservation, analysis, and presentation of computer-related evidence. Computer evidence can be useful in criminal cases, civil disputes, and human resources/employment proceedings. Far more information is retained on a computer than most people realize. It is also more difficult to completely remove information than is generally thought. Computer forensic investigators can often find evidence of, or even completely recover, lost or deleted information, even if that information was intentionally deleted or erased.

Evidence Recovery

Electronic evidence can be the deciding factor in a criminal or civil action. Cases involving trade secrets, commercial disputes, employment discrimination, personal injury, misdemeanor and felony crimes are influenced by the introduction of properly recovered e-mail messages, electronic files, etc. If an attempt has been made to delete, change, taint, format, fdisk, or otherwise deny access to important files, an experienced, competent, data recovery professional can often recover the critical data. Once data is recovered it must be filtered to provide evidence.
